By what means is the data transferred to and from your mobile/the internet? Is it secure? Is it dependent on your phone's signal or for it use some other technology?How does 3G work with mobile phones and wireless data?
There are three main data networks available....GPRS, EDGE and 3G. There is also HSDPA which is faster than 3G. Basically, they are all location dependent and each one has improved speed.
Of course, its only compatible devices which would be able to use the networks and the speed is dependent on a number of factors such as congestion. And certain actions such as video calling require you to have 3G.
