I have a new laptop, and I have a lot of data on my current laptop. How can I easily transfer all my information to the new one (no burning disks, jump drives...etc)
thanks in advanceWhat is the fastest and easiest way to transfer data from one laptop to another?
A USB transfer cable would be the easiest. Something like this

Make sure you get one compatible with the two Operating Systems you are using (I.E. Vista to Win7)
Put them both on the same network (Fast 10/100Mbps Ethernet) and set up operating-system-level file sharing (e.g. File and Printer Sharing).
Close down most bandwidth-intensive apps (online gaming, file sharing, streaming video/audio, etc.) on both machines.
Copy and paste from the source to the destination.What is the fastest and easiest way to transfer data from one laptop to another?
Well probebly the safest and quickest was would be to take it to a professional computer shop. thats safe and quick.
but if you want to do it yourself just get and external hard drive and copy it all onto there and then onto the new laptop. Fairly easy, safe and straight forward.
hope this helps
You can use a shared drive over the network, if both are on a cable or dsl connection or share a router.
If you're using windows you can right click on a folder and go into properties and sharing.
then you do start%26gt;cmd%26gt;ipconfig and write down your ip addresses, you're looking for a 168. or a 10. one.
Go to other computer, in browser type
file:///%26lt;that ip%26gt;
That's most of it, there are instructions for sharing over a network for the rest of the details. Transfer speed is limited by your network, wired is faster than wifi, but it's pretty fast compared to your alternatives.
just remember to UNSHARE THE FOLDER/DRIVE AFTER YOU ARE DONE, in case someone else gets access to your networkWhat is the fastest and easiest way to transfer data from one laptop to another?
The fastest way is to use a FireWire cable. The easiest (and decent speed) solution is to probably connect wirelessly, and you can drag-and-drop.
Connect the 2 to a switch and use FTP to transfer the fastest...U can also use Teracopy to do the same in the fastest n with options to skip if any errors happen ...
