What is the point of putting data from xbox 360 games onto your hardrive?

I have put the data from a few games (like bioshock 2) to see whether it would make any difference to the loading speed but I can not see any difference!

It helps in two primary ways.



1) Saves wear and tear on the game disc as it only spins it up for recognition purposes.

2) Saves wear and tear on the drive itself as it doesn't get used when the games load from the HDD.
